My name is Eija, and it’s pronounced ee-ha. It means ‘little girl’ in Tagalog, and ‘daughter’ in Spanish.
I was born in Manila, Philippines, but my family and I moved to Canada when I was a baby. I’ve been living in and around Toronto ever since. I’ve been writing for as long as I can remember, but writing queer content has been a passion of mine. Growing representation in the LGBTQIA+ community is so important, and I’m so thrilled I get to be a part of that.
Fun facts:
- I love musicals
- I don’t speak Tagalog, but I understand it fluently. I can say the bad words though
- I live with my wife and our two mini poodles, Honey and Dijon
- I once got my head stuck in a balcony railing while trying to watch a badminton match
